So. The irrationality of digital medicine: AI / ML / DP / VR in practice.

Why did we decide to discuss this topic today? Why do we call the process of change in the health care system irrational?

What trends have been shown by our practice and our experience in implementing digital solutions.

№1. Irrationality

Digital medicine is like a red door. Bright, a challenge, but we do not know what is there.

According to a scientific study by Japanese scientists, in 25 years, if the healthcare system remains at the same level, one in three people on the planet should be a doctor. This will be necessary for normal life for the aging population of the planet. We are talking about the need for new digital healthcare solutions.

Robots, sensors, Metaverse, AI, Internet of things or IoT. It looks very practical, rational.

Why irrationality?

We know about the large number of implementations of digital solutions in healthcare. But for the first time in the history of our civilization, Doctor-Patient communication has a paradigm shift. The patient does not currently require a visit to the doctor to make a diagnosis. AI / ML / Nano-sensors inform the patient about his health, risks.

For the first time in 2000 years of the planet’s history.

We can see the evolution of “doctor-patient” communications in our example of the evolution of medical devices for evaluating a patient’s cardio-indicators. The latest generation of medical cardio devices are nano-sensors, with a BIO-signal system at the base, which is AI / ML.

Irrational: The patient is not oriented to be part of the digital healthcare system.

№2. AI / ML / DP / VR

AI / ML / DP / VR is a formula for creating scenes of human indicators personalized for each patient.

AI / ML / DP / VR — Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Deep Processing / Virtual Reality.

AI / ML / DP / VR is a formula for creating scenes of human indicators personalized for each patient in a virtual reality or METAVERSE environment.

For example, a patient before knee surgery. We have the process of transforming images into a 3D model using auto-segmentation and then building a VR knee objects for the scene in the surgeon’s VR environment. The surgeon comments, advises and shows the patient and his family before the operation — an excellent visual model of this patient’s knee.

In our formula, the AI/ML component is used to create the VR model. This is the only way to transform images into a VR model. VR model of the knee is not only a good visualization, but also a reliable full-size mock-up. Not all elements are visible in the image. VR model, as a technology, can make the bones transparent, in this case we see all the bones that are closed in the image.

It’s already easy.

№3. VR / DP / ML / AI. Inverse formula

The inverse formula makes it possible to create open DataSets of objects from a personalized library of META (VR) objects, for example, such as patient knees.

This will do:

- Excellent educational course;

- Train AI with all new knee types, for the most optimal AI, you need to have a large DataSet of objects;

- Create a predictive report for each new patient;

- Use DataSets for research and analysis of diseases!

№4. Digital twins of the patient

If we have learned how to create virtual objects, maybe we should make a digital twin of a patient in a virtual environment?

Today we can make a visual copy of a person using a 3D model. This is very easy to do now.

But how to make a virtual patient or digital twin of a patient?

To do this, we use our nano-sensors that transmit bio-signals to the digital environment and we add options for a digital twin using online human measurements from nano-sensors.

The first digital patient twin was opened at the Seoul Hospital summer. 2022. Patients with diabetes.

Why diabetes?

For patients with diabetes, more than anyone else, constant adjustments are needed not only in treatment, but also in behavior.

Digital twin of a patient is just for life.

№5. Hospital Metaverse Strategy

In September of this year, we announced a new concept for our digital solution — VR Medica Platform. Hospital METAVERSE Strategy is a new approach to the creation of the Medicine of the future.

In the first phase of our Hospital Metaverse Strategy, we build the METAVERSE infrastructure and add our VR Software modules that are already running.

The next stage is the digital twin of the patient and digital predictive scenarios of the hospital.

For example: patient scenarios with diabetes.

It’s like in a computer game — an exciting non-pharmacological therapy, when the patient measures his behavior, knowing his bio-signals. Future? No, the future is when a person will live an active life up to 150 years.

Let’s go back to our topic of irrationality.

I don’t think any of you have ever been in a hospital ward where patients have all types of post-stroke. Each hospital bed has a patient with different symptoms. This is our VR ward. Patients are depicted in a realistic manner and focus is placed on the specific symptoms for each. It looks unrealistic. This does not happen in life. But it is very easy to create in VR environment or METAVERSE Hospital.

Excellent educational course.

№7. Digital Strategy

Patient-centered model and Metaverse line.

At the heart of our digital strategy model is a patient-centered approach. Digital strategy, where the main role is played by the patient.

This is the most irrational for today.

The patient will be given new tools: digital twins, Metaverse Hospital, sensors with predictive risks. Will it be easy to manage all this?
