How Virtual Reality makes practice fun. VR in medicine — YES!

Danil is a medical student from St. Petersburg, Russia. Danil makes a trial. Railway. Train
Railway. Train. Danil is a medical student. Trial VR Medica.

I met Danil on the train, he is a medical student, his future profession is a nurse. I was pleased to meet a young man who chose a very unusual profession for a man, in the future to become a nurse. We talked, the train was on the rails, the music of the railroad played to us “ Tuk — tuk …..”

“I have something for you, Danil” — I said and opened my VR Headset “VR MEDICA”. It was the funniest VR trial in the history of VR Medica.

Danil connected the bones of the skull in our medical VR practice “ANATOMY”, the basic medical VR practice. He was very “WOW”, shouting out words and emotionally expressing all the actions he did in the virtual environment, completely forgetting that he was on the train.

Our VR Anatomy, VR MEDICA Platform, was created using all three main methods of creating VR simulators:

VR Technologies + Education Technologies + Medical Technologies. A mix of technologies.

VR simulation in our case — The last mile on the way to medical knowledge.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Why does the “WOW method” take a shorter road to knowledge? And how do you get a WOW in serious medical practice? And even more so in a very complex, serious medical education. When a student has a huge flow of basic information in the process of medical education.

How we did an excellent medical VR course. We make full use of medical technology, but we don’t do it boringly.

For example, look at our skull in the VR Anatomy course. The skull is huge. When you find yourself in a virtual environment, in front of you is a skull, which is several times larger than you. An incredibly huge skull. You walk inside, around the skull. Inscriptions and notifications do not bother you. You are in a virtual object, nothing else. You are amazingly captivated by the quest to connect the bones correctly. You are gripped by the amazing realism. This is the WOW method, Getting to WOW.

VR MEDICA. Everywhere, even on the train.

Danil made a VR trial, he was happy and inspired. Then he took a pic, sent messages and pics. Shared his success with other students.

And then he asked me when there will be time for VR in medicine?

“Now, Danil!”- I answered him.
